MELAÜDIC Community Guidelines

Last updated: [PLACEHOLDER — date]

MELAÜDIC is a place to love music together. These rules apply everywhere you can write or interact: your profile (name, handle, photo, bio, pronouns), the request wall, ballots, playlist names, artist chat, support messages and reports.

The vibe

Be kind. Keep it about music. Hype each other up. Disagree about songs, not about people.

Not allowed

  1. Hate. No attacks, slurs or stereotypes about anyone's race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected trait.
  2. Harassment and bullying. No insults, pile-ons, mocking someone, or targeting a fan, artist or anyone else. Don't keep contacting someone who blocked you.
  3. Threats and violence. No threats, encouraging violence, or glorifying violent acts or terrorism.
  4. Sexual content. No nudity, sexual content or sexual talk in profiles, ideas, playlist names or chat. Artist chats are always platonic.
  5. Anything that sexualises minors. Zero tolerance. We remove it, ban the account immediately and report it to the authorities (for example NCMEC or the NCA).
  6. Self-harm and suicide. Don't encourage or give instructions for self-harm, suicide or eating disorders. If you're struggling, you're welcome here, and we'll show you where to get help.
  7. Personal info. Don't share your own or anyone else's contact details, address, school, phone number or socials, especially if you're a teen. No doxxing.
  8. Impersonation. Don't pretend to be another fan, a real artist, a celebrity, MELAÜDIC staff or the founder. Don't claim to be a MELAÜDIC artist.
  9. Real people in ideas. Request-wall ideas can be about feelings, places and stories, but not about humiliating, sexualising or making claims about real, identifiable people.
  10. Copying. Don't post someone else's lyrics, songs or creative work as your idea.
  11. Spam and scams. No links, ads, promo codes, giveaways, "free followers", crypto, phishing or selling stuff.
  12. Faking it. No bots, scripts, multiple accounts or vote/like/follow farming. Don't rig ballots or the request wall.
  13. Messing with the AI. Don't try to trick artists into breaking their rules, saying harmful things, or revealing how they're made ("jailbreaks").
  14. Illegal stuff. Nothing illegal, including drugs sales, weapons, gambling, or encouraging crime.
  15. Lying about your age. You must be 13+, and you must give your real birth month and year.

Extra protections for teens (13–17)

If you're 13 to 17:

  • you only hear clean versions; explicit songs aren't playable;
  • your profile starts private, and "Show what I'm listening to" starts off [confirm in build];
  • our filters are stricter on what you post: contact details, socials and sexual terms are hidden automatically;
  • artist chat follows stricter rules and won't go near mature topics;
  • marketing notifications are off;
  • a parent or guardian can lock the explicit setting with a 4-digit PIN.

And for everyone: never ask a teen for personal info, photos, or to talk somewhere else. If you see that, report it straight away. It goes to the top of our queue.

Tools you have

  • Report anything: a profile, an idea, a chat reply, a post. Tap ··· then Report.
  • Block a fan to stop seeing their stuff and stop them interacting with you.
  • Make your profile private in Settings → Privacy.
  • Get help in the in-app help center.

We aim to review reports within 24 hours, faster for anything involving teens or safety. [PLACEHOLDER — confirm service level the founder can meet.]

How we enforce (the ladder)

MELAÜDIC is run by the founder with AI helpers. Automated filters and our AI safety agent (Guardian) catch and sort issues. The founder decides every suspension and ban.

Step What happens Typical reason
0. Filtered The post is blocked before it goes up, or hidden while it's reviewed. You'll see a message Slurs, links, contact details (teens), sexual terms
1. Removed + reminder We remove the content and remind you of the rule First minor break (mild insult, spam once)
2. Warning A formal warning on your account Repeat minor breaks, or one moderate break
3. Feature limit We pause a feature (for example request wall, chat or profile edits) for 1–30 days Repeated breaks in one place
4. Suspension Your account is locked for 1–30 days Serious or repeated breaks
5. Ban Your account is closed for good Very serious breaks (threats, sexualising minors, doxxing, scams), or breaking rules after a suspension

We may skip steps for serious harm. Content that sexualises minors, credible threats or doxxing lead straight to a ban and, where required, a report to the authorities.

Every time we act, you'll get a notice with what we did, which rule, why, whether it was automated, and how to appeal.

Appeals

Think we got it wrong? Tap Appeal on the notice, or email appeals@itsmelaudic.com [PLACEHOLDER]. You have 6 months from the decision. Tell us why. A human (the founder) reviews every appeal and replies within [PLACEHOLDER — e.g. 7] days. If we were wrong, we restore your content or account and remove the strike.

When the law gets involved

We remove illegal content we know about. We report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities, and we may share information with police where someone's life or safety is at risk, or where the law requires it.

Transparency

We publish simple stats on reports, removals, appeals and how many were automated at itsmelaudic.com/transparency [PLACEHOLDER — confirm page, frequency].

Thanks for keeping MELAÜDIC a good place to be.
